Institutional
Strengthening

Overview

Institutional Strengthening presents principles, minimum standards and best practices, business processes, references and tools deemed important for effective, efficient, and sustainable organizations.

African Council of Religious Leaders – Religions for Peace, through the Institutional Strengthening Department is committed to supporting the work of its network members as they provide high quality, comprehensive, and sustainable services to the poor and those suffering injustice. IS works with network members to put in place the systems and structures needed for healthy institutions, providing quality services. ACRL – RfP desires, together with its network members, to be responsible stewards who respect national laws, international conventions, professional ethics, and commonly accepted standards. To achieve this aim, the ACRL – RfP Institutional Strengthening department, is designed to assist the Council, NIRCs, Regional Hubs, the Women of Faith Networks as well as the Youth Interfaith Networks both at the country and regional levels in their efforts to improve their organizational systems and structures.

ACRL – RfP will continuously build its internal and external capacities to efficiently and effectively undertake programmatic interventions. The strengthening of the internal organizational structure and human resource will build a strong and skilled management to realize the council’s objectives and mission. The formation, rejuvenation and strengthening of NIRCs, women and youth networks as well as regional hubs will afford continued new collaboration and partnerships at the local, national, regional and global level amongst the RfP family. These efforts will augment networking with like – minded stakeholders in government and non – government organizations for common action.
